Camp Details

Location: 4600 CA-154, Santa Barbara, CA, 93105

Gates: Gates open at 12 noon on Friday. Gates close at 10pm each night so make sure you arrive before then or come the next day at 8am.

Bring Cash: Service is not reliable out there so we recommend having cash for food & beverage vendors, merch & raffle to ensure you are solid.

Helpful Info:

Camp: Live Oak Camp is a beautiful wide open campground dotted with oak trees. In the main zone is big open-air pavilion and gathering area. There is not a bad camp spot in the whole place and no matter where you set up your tent you will only be a short walk from the pavilion. Motorcycle camping is seperate from car camping and no cars may enter the motorcycle zone for any reason (not even for a second) but motos can park / camp with the cars.

Water: The water on site it’s safe to drink but it has a taste to it that some may not prefer. Make sure to bring your own or buy some from the food trucks. STAY HYDRATED! Remember that riding can dehydrate you a lot more so drink plenty of water.

Trees: YAY Trees! Please do not park your car under the tree canopy. (bikes & tents ok) These oaks have a sensitive root system which means nothing can hang from them (so no hammocks) & parking a vehicle on top of the system can damage the roots.

Showers: There are showers on site but please note they are open concept so no privacy. If you have any issues, do not use them or bring a swim suit if you are more modest….or go for it if you are not modest in the least. Rest assured, no one is there to stare or judge but to each their own comfort level.

Weather: Temperatures can be H O T during the day / cold at night. Please check the weather before you come & pack accordingly.

Cell Phone Service: We have not heard of any network that doesn’t work out there. you should be good.

Staff: We have security, sanitation, and a medics working this event who are men. This crew is so very important to us and have gone out of there way to ensure this event is amazing for YOU so please be respectful and toss a “thank you” at them if you feel inclined.

Emergency Assistance: We have a team working 24/7 in case you have an emergency or need assistance. Please go to the medic booth (open 24/7) or ask a security guard (also working 24/7) for help. NO one should EVER feel scared to ask for assistance if anyone is being disruptive.

FAQ

Should I buy a ticket if I am considered high risk / have health concerns, unsure if I will feel comfortable camping in the dirt, porto potties are just a NO, unable to follow the rules and regs of the campground, require more than general admission states, special assistance, etc.? If you have any concern or doubt whether about your willingness/ability to camp, ride, and go with the flow we suggest finding something else that suits your needs. There is nothing wrong with admitting that “this just isn’t for me” and we have way more respect to those who can realize that about themselves prior. We love you all just the same and thank you for doing a self “check” prior to moving forward with buying a ticket to this event. We created a small quiz that may help you decide if you are unsure.

  • Do you like camping?
  • Do you like riding motorcycles?
  • Do you like meeting new people?
  • Do you like trying new things?
  • Are you adventurous?
  • Are you resourceful and good with directions?
  • Do you consider yourself a “do it yourself” type of person?
  • Are you the type of person that takes the time to read all the info about things before you sign up for them?

If “YES” to all the above, you'll have a GREAT time!

If “NO” to one or more above, then you'll have the worst time of your life. Are we being dramatic? No, just blunt & honest with you on what this is.  If you are the type of person that is easily disappointed, or feels inclined to speak to the manager, feels unsafe if workers or park staff are male, offended by how we describe this event, this is NOT the event for you and we respect that :)

Do passengers also need a general admission ticket? YES! Every body that is entering the property must have a general admission ticket (see above what that includes). If you are bringing a car or truck, you need to ALSO buy a parking pass in advance.

Can I get a refund? No, sadly we rented out the space and have to pay for it no matter what. Rest assured if the event does get cancelled for acts of God that prevent us from camping at the location, we will refund ticket holders.

Are there fire restrictions? YES! Since we are in CA, there is a very strict NO BURNING rule and the park rangers can fine you up to $1,000 if they catch anyone putting the park at risk so please be aware, no fires, no coals, no flames! Small camp stoves like a jetboil are ok!

Can I come the night before? Stay an extra night? Sadly, no. The gates to this private site will be locked until we open Fri and everyone must be out of the site by 11AM Sunday so we can lock up behind you. Google the area to see other camping options or hotels nearby if you are looking for an extended stay, there are some fantastic choices!

Can I transfer my ticket to another rider? How does it work? Yes! You are able to transfer your ticket to another rider. All you have to do is click HERE to start the transfer process. The best way to sell or find any unused tickets to this event is on the Facebook event page dedicated to the event. All transfers end September 12th 12:00PM pacific (no exceptions so please do not even ask or email, DM or send a smoke signal as we won’t be available to hear your plight as we will be building out the event space). Please know there is no waitlist for this event so use the tools we got aka that Facebook page :)

How it works: It's so easy! Click HERE to start. Once the person receiving the transfer accepts it, they will be prompted to pay for the ticket then you will be refunded the ticket minus a $15 processing fee. There is no option to edit the name on your ticket after you have purchased so please make sure it matches the ID you will have on hand at the time of the event. We can’t change this for you, we have tried but sadly not able to edit your personal info as it’s a new law to not tamper w/ people’s ID. Makes sense...

Wait! No RV's, Trailers, or Toyhaulers?  We cannot accommodate trailers, RVS or Toyhaulers at this new venue. Ah yes… we know this is a bummer to some of you who love that creature comfort and we are sorry. Please do not ask, do not show up with, or assume you’ll be able to roll in with a trailer, RV, or toyhauler. You'll be turned away / not refunded as the space and experience is limited. There are RV sites nearby as well as many hotel accommodations if a pile of dirt doesn't excite you.

Can I buy and admission ticket at the gate? No, you must buy a ticket prior to the event online. There are no tickets sold at the gate & this event will sell out.

I am only coming for 1 night; do I get a discount? What if I am staying somewhere else? Can I come and go? All tickets are for the full weekend and it doesn’t matter if you come to the space for even 5 minutes, you need a full price general admission to enter the gates. There are other camping options and hotels nearby if that suites you best, give the area a google and see what's open / available. If staying elsewhere you can come and go but please be aware there is NO DRINKING AND RIDING! A ranger will be parked at the gate and they are legally able to stop you leaving the property to check. Please be safe!

Do I get a specific camping spot assigned to me? No spots are pre-assigned but you are guaranteed a space. The camp area is first come, first serve. There is plenty of amazing spots for everyone!

ADA info? We are more than happy to help you, please email ashmore@babesrideout.com for assistance prior to event.

What is up with food and water? We will know for sure on food vending closer to the event so stay tuned but know it’s a smaller scale weekend so limited or picky eaters beware and do not rely on food vendor to fit any special needs. There is no "group kitchen" or fires to make your own meals so be prepared to DIY with limitations. Feel free to strap a cooler on the back of that moto with food, water, beers, box wine, non-alcoholic drinks etc.! We only ask NO GLASS!!!!

I want to shoot, take video, do a social media takeover for this event for a brand, magazine, online editorial, etc. Do I need permission? We’d love to hear more! Babes Ride Out is a private event and we do the best we can not to distract our guests so they can have the best time possible. If you want to shoot the event in any way for a media source, a brand, or other non-personal use, please email press@babesrideout.com for permission as no commercial photography or video of any kind is allowed unless approved by BRO. Images for your own use are 100% awesome and appreciated! No need to ask if it’s for yourself and/or personal social media, we only ask that you be respectful to the other attendees :)

How do I connect with other ladies to ride out?  A Facebook event page is coming soon and a great way to meet up with ladies to ride to the space with or sell an unused ticket / or find someone needing to off-load a ticket.

Can I bring my boyfriend or husband? Can they drop me off? No, this is a ladies only event. Please check chopcult.com for all co/ed events.

Can I bring my kids and pets? Nope, the event is not kid / pet friendly. Service dogs are welcome, just let us know ahead of time by emailing ashmore@babesrideout.com if you are comfortable doing so.

Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event? Must be 21+ to attend and have valid ID to drink

What CAN'T I bring to the event? Mini bikes, weapons, signage, flags, banners, fireworks, pets, kids, a bad attitude, things to sell, hand-outs for a brand or marketing materials of any kind.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?  Just show up, you'll be on the list & bring your ID.

The name on the registration/ticket doesn't match the attendee. Is that okay? Nope! Your ticket must match your ID. If someone bought your ticket for you and did not put it in your name, you must show up together so the ticket holder can collect both tickets. Names on tickets cannot be edited UNLESS you officially transfer them.

Act of Conduct Disclaimer: Babes Ride Out has the right to revoke any attendees’ tickets, are allowed to refuse service if attendees become aggressive, becomes drunk & disorderly, starts to harass (verbally or physically) any other attendee or staff (male staff or female attendee / staff etc.), acts disrespectful, demanding, and or unreasonable. This is a private event & this is in affect prior to event & during event. We have the right to ban any attendees from further events who violate human decency and or the rules that we as an event & park system have in place to keep the space clear of bullshit. We want all those attending and working to feel welcome, appreciated, and safe.

I am transgender, transitioning or consider myself non-binary, am I still welcome to come? 100% yes! “Ladies Only” is the best we have found to make it clear who this event is dedicated to. We understand that gender is fluid and trust that the moto community can make the distinction as they have over our past 9 years hosting the events.

Zero Tolerance: All Babes Ride Out events have a zero-tolerance policy for any aggression, harassment, threats, unreasonable behavior, hate speech or violence whatsoever. We have never had a problem with this at any of our events but we feel that it is important to reiterate that racism, homophobia, bigotry, aggressive or condescending behavior towards anyone and/or anything that resembles it is not welcome ever at any of our events and we have the right to refuse service.
